RESPONSIBILITIES - A Day in the life
- Supervise and coordinate dock operations, including freight loading, unloading, sorting, and routing.
- Ensure all dockworkers follow proper safety protocols, operational procedures, and equipment usage guidelines.
- Manage labor schedules, monitor performance, and lead daily shifts to meet goals.
- Inspect freight for damages or discrepancies and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant dock environment.
- Support communication between dispatch, drivers, and dock teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Train new dock employees and provide ongoing performance feedback to team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
