What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Advocate position at Mile Square Early Learning Center?
Position- Family Advocate (FT)
Primary Function: The Family Advocate is responsible for coordinating services for children and families in compliance with the requirements set by the school district and Mile Square Early Learning Center standards and policies taking into account the social, emotional, cognitive, perceptual, health, and safety of the individual child and needs of the family.
Hours: Monday-Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm
Educational requirements:
-A BA or BS in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Sociology, or related field with experience in a child care or social service setting;
-Or an AA preferably in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Sociology or related field with a minimum of one year experience in a child care or social setting;
-Or a CDA in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of three years’ experience in a child care or social service setting
Skills:
-Advanced computer skills required including word, excel, & Google Suite programs.
-Ability to work in a team setting
-Ability to engage parents.
-Ability to organize and complete work independently.
-Ability to draw appropriate conclusions responding to a situation or information presented.
-Ability to write well.
Job Type: Full-time
