Join the Miles McClellan Construction team and you have the opportunity to have a dynamic role in Central Ohio construction by delivering large and complex projects or multiple smaller projects generally with one or more reporting superintendents.. The Senior Superintendent role makes an instant impact in our Operations team by providing overall leadership for on-site field administration, supervision, and technical management for all construction project operations. Our Senior Supers bring their industry knowledge and experience to ensure each project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This role will interface with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc. The Senior Superintendent will also manage the safety, schedule and qulaity assurance of all projects assigned to them.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consistently delivers and manages successful projects through maintaining positive profits and growing profits on projects.
- Capable of managing wide range of project type (GC, ground up, etc.)
- Displays a history of repeat client relationships, maintaining clients beyond 1-2 projects; builds relationship with client contacts.
- Ability to build and maintain set schedule and adjust the schedule to meet project milestones/end dates.
- Understands, respects, and adheres to a culture of safety; completed training requirements - incl. First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA 30-hour, Accident Analysis and maintains JSAs and weekly toolbox talks.
- Takes ownership of subcontractors and adjusts management accordingly. Mitigates subcontractor conflicts (Horse trading, avoiding claims, avoiding surprise tickets)
- Effectively participates in project presentations and interviews.
- Mastered/develop site logistics.
- Provides constructability reviews before activities begin.
- Effectively participates in company functions.
- Builds and maintains positive field morale.
- Generates scopes of work when project timing permits.
- Understands and manages permitting and inspection process/sequence/requirements.
- Completes superintendent administrative requirements (Daily reports, 2-week look aheads, as-builts, etc.) in a timely, complete manner. Maintains project updates and documentation in Procore.
- Participates in personnel development by training and advancing other team members both in the field and operations team.
- "Takes 100% ownership of a project (the buck stops here)” and is a true representative of MMC. Consistently acts with a customer service mentality.
- Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
- Minimum of ten years of construction management and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
- Proficient with computer & technology skills
- Physically, workers must be able to: Stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see well (naturally or with correction)

Salary : $105,000 - $130,000
