Preschool Teacher - Multi-Age Classroom

Milford Cooperative Preschool is seeking a loving, energetic, organized individual to join our team as a multiage classroom teacher in a cooperative preschool. Our multiage program is based on the HighScope curriculum and offers full-day or half-day options for children ages 3-5.

This is a full time position with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role for the right candidate. Milford Cooperative Preschool offers a competitive salary, paid training and professional development and a sign-on bonus in a small, personal environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading students through the curriculum and supporting their growth and development

• Assist in planning and preparing of curriculum to meet the developmental needs of the students and align with the curriculum

• Communicate student progress with parents

• Help maintain a consistent, safe and healthy learning environment for all by following and enforcing established philosophies and procedures.

• Meet all LARA licensing requirements

Multi-Age Preschool Teacher Qualifications include:

• A Child Development Associate (CDA) or a degree in early childhood education or child development

• In-depth knowledge of HighScope curriculum

• A patient and supportive approach to the learning process

Our multi-age preschool program, for children ages 3 to 5, celebrates being a preschooler, while getting students ready for the rigors of Kindergarten. Using the High Scope approach, children are involved in active, participatory learning experiences in every part of their daily routine. Compensation: Starting at $16-18/hour, based on experience
