What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Machinist (all shifts) position at Mill-Max Mfg?
Mill-Max Mfg. Corp., in Oyster Bay, NY, currently has several full-time Production Machinist opportunities to join our dynamic group in various departments on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.
Production Machinists use machinery to create and assemble machined pin connectors used in the electronics industry. Production Machinists are generally assigned to one or more machines and expected to meet a production quota. They must always monitor their machines to ensure that they are working properly; when they are not, troubleshooting may be necessary. Reading blueprints and shop drawings is an essential part of the position and basic arithmetic skills are necessary in order to properly measure items needed in production. Much of the work is done independently so it is important to be self-driven. Attention to detail is also important, as the goods produced must be assessed for quality. If goods are not coming out as they should, the machinist should evaluate the situation to determine what is wrong.

- Count and record daily production
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma
- English fluency required
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Good reading, writing and interpersonal skills
Job Details
- Second shift (4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday - Friday).
- Third shift (12:30 AM to 7:30 AM, Tuesday – Saturday).
- Full Time, Hourly Employee
- Second and Third shift employees must be able to train on the first shift (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM) for 12 weeks, then transfer to the appropriate shift.
- Second shift has a 10% wage differential. Third shift has a 30% wage differential.
