OPPORTUNITY
Mill Rock Packaging is excited to start our search for our new Folder Gluer Operator to support our Operations Teams. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties:
- Set up all sections of the folder gluer machine per job specification.
- Set-up Leary detection system.
- Set up and adjust machine for production runs of various carton shapes achieving a properly folded carton with adequate glue adhesion.
- Perform quality checks in full compliance with all requirements of the quality system.
- Record all required run data and keep an accurate time sheet.
- Perform routine maintenance, machine cleaning, and preventative maintenance inspections of the folder-gluer machine and the gluing & detection system.
- Identify deficiencies of the folder-gluers and gluing & detection systems and request needed parts required in repairs. Assist in repairs as needed.
- Work with Packaging Engineers and Sales personnel to develop new products and evaluate the ability to produce product(s).
- Oversee the work throughput and quality of the Folder Gluer Assistants assigned to your machine.
- Has responsibility for the outcome of all projects that run on the die cutting machine. Embrace the entrepreneurial spirit.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work exclusively in the production area, with light and heavy equipment where you stand and walk during your entire shift. Bending and reaching as needed. Exposed to elevated noise levels throughout work shift, hearing protection use is mandatory while in production area. May bend, squat, climb up onto the machine as needed for repairs and/or general maintenance and set up.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Prior experience as a Folding or Gluing Machine Operator at a printing company.
Minimum Education/Experience:
- GED or High School Equivalent
