Maintenance Technician

Millbrook Properties is looking for Maintenance Technician for its Buffalo Grove location.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will provide a variety of maintenance and repair services to the buildings and tenants of Millbrook Properties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform ongoing maintenance and repair work on building systems, including mechanical equipment, and machines to include Rooftop Units, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other installed systems.
• Complete all assigned work orders and inspections assigned by the Lead Maintenance Technician and/or General Manager in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform facility walk-throughs and inspections noting discrepancies and perform repairs as needed.
• Be able to respond to emergencies during and outside of regular working hours.
• Perform minor construction, fabrication, and painting work as assigned by management.
• Comply with all safety procedures and take corrective action by reporting on any maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operating condition of the building.
• Load, unload, and move furniture, equipment, fixtures, and other items as needed in the building.
• Maintain compliance to city, county, and state ordinance and codes.
• Maintain the grounds and parking structure including some slight snow shoveling in the winter season as needed.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, building tenants, and vendors.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED and demonstrate experience that establishes the skills and abilities required to perform the major duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state and/or Federal laws.
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems, operation, and maintenance requirements.
• Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and able to work with minimal to no supervision.
• Communicates effectively both orally and written.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Work Order Management Systems.

PHSYCIAL CONDITIONS TO PERFORM JOB

• Continuous standing of more than 75%
• Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying required up to 50lbs.
• Bending/Kneeling frequently required.
• Subject to load noise, vibrations and dusty situations
• Capable of performing physical labor such as climbing ladders safely, working from heights of up to 30 feet, working on roofs and working from a prone or kneeling position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
