What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local truck driver position at Millerbernd Manufacturing?
NOW HIRING : Millerbernd Manufacturing is hiring a Local Parts Truck Driver to join our team! This role is responsible for proper operation of fleet vehicles to deliver product to and from MMC facilities / production cells in a courteous and timely manner.
As a Local Parts Truck Driver, you will : .
- Fastens chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit
- Loads or unloads, or assists in loading and unloading truck
- Services vehicles with oil, fuel, and radiator fluid to maintain good working order
- Inventories and inspects goods to be moved
- Wraps goods using pads, packing paper, and containers, and secures load to trailer using straps
- Places vehicles, to the extent safe and feasible, at the locations required by shipper / receiver
- Maintains vehicle inspection log according to MMC policy
- Complies with federal drug and alcohol testing and training regulations as required
- May use crane, hoist, forklift or other material handling equipment to transport materials and product into and out of the work area as required
Role Qualifications as a Local Parts Truck Driver
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Valid Class B CDL may be required
- Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork
- Effective and appropriate oral and written communication skills, including legible handwriting in English
