Job Overview:
We are seeking a Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Scheduler. As a Medical Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by efficiently scheduling patient appointments and providing administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure proper allocation of time for each appointment
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providing exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with front desk duties, including greeting patients, checking them in, and directing them to the appropriate areas
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and minimize wait times
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a medical administrative support role or similar position
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with phone systems and electronic scheduling systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in using computer software for data entry and record keeping
