What are the responsibilities and job description for the Make up and Hair Artist and Studio Assistant position at Milou and Olin Photography?
Boudoir by Olin Photography is a photography studio that focuses on empowering women through boudoir photography. We are looking for a Hair and Makeup Artist who will assist the team in creating a memorable service experience for the client through hair and make-up services.
You must be super reliable and professional, an amazing personality, and an incredibly amazing eye for details. All you have to do is show up, and perform hair and makeup for our clients. We take care of all the rest
The hair and makeup artist ideally can spend at least three days in the studio, with at least one weekend day here and there. In between photo sessions or if there are no photo sessions during the day, you will have other studio tasks to perform, such as making phone calls and that will be at a different pay rate than the makeup rate. There will be just a maximum of three shoots a day.
We are looking for an artist for a long term relationship to be part of our family. Due to the intimate nature of the type of photography offered, females or female-identifying preferred. If you love make up and hair but hate running a business, this position is perfect for you.

On a daily basis, you'll have the opportunity to work with women from various walks of life and display your artistry in ways that draw out the potential in all our clients delighting by drawing on their own beauty, enhancing their esteem, and setting them loose to conquer their worlds.
SCHEDULE
We require a commitment of at least 3 days a week to start. We typically have two clients in a day. Our studio is open Mondays to Fridays 10am to 5pm, we do work select weekends.

Job Qualifications:
- Must have a high school degree and be 18 years or older.
- Makeup artistry or cosmetic experience preferred
- Possess good verbal communication skills.
- Be reliable, dependable and punctual.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, possibly weekends and/or holidays
- Ability to style basic hair
- Must have your own kit
- Basic understanding of the use of equipment and sanitation needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
