Residential Youth Caregiver

Thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey, who founded the school in 1909, we have the resources to support both our students and staff. Our team is committed to helping our students thrive, and we are seeking married couples to join us as flex houseparents.

As flex houseparents, you will reside in on-campus student homes and provide guidance and support to a group of approximately 8-12 students. You will be responsible for providing a consistent family-like structure, driving students to appointments, administering medication, managing budgets, and reporting to school administrators. When initially hired, flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.

We also offer relocation assistance, paid training, and a schedule that allows for nine days on followed by three days off. Your workdays will include time for personal activities while students are at school, and you will enjoy a three-week paid summer vacation.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. The couple must be legally married for at least two years, and both spouses should be age 27 or older. We also require that both spouses complete an individual employment application.

Salary : $43,500 - $164,000
