Milton Middle School is seeking a dynamic math teacher to be an integral part of an innovative team designed to meet the needs of middle school students for our 2 grades 5-8. The candidate will possess exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, is strongly committed to the success of all students, understands the value of collaboration, and is ready to collaborate with a team that includes other math teachers and team teachers.
Math teacher/Interventionist candidates are encouraged to have middle school experience and be knowledgeable in effective instruction and school improvement practices at the middle school level. The ideal candidate has working knowledge and experience with implementing Restorative Practices as solid components of classroom student management and is committed to working in a district striving to become anti-racist and is focused on equity in the school setting.
Position Responsibilities
1.Communicate effectively with all stakeholders as applicable.
2.Demonstrate solid instructional skills, including specially designed instruction for students on IEPs.
3.Implement district policies; follow school practices/procedures.
4.Assume supervisory responsibilities as assigned.
5.Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
6.Model professional behavior at all times.
7.Collaborate with other school and district staff members to achieve the district’s mission and school’s annual goals.
8.Use data effectively to monitor academic and social-emotional systems and programming.
9.Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal or designee.
