What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser/Food Runner position at Minami Sushi?
1. Clearing and resetting tables: Bussers remove used dishes, glasses, and utensils from tables, clean them, and reset them with clean tableware and appropriate condiments.
2. Table maintenance: They continuously monitor tables to ensure they are clean and presentable throughout the guests’ dining experience. This includes wiping surfaces, replacing table linens, and restocking necessary items like napkins and salt and pepper shakers.
3. Supporting the waitstaff: Bussers collaborate closely with servers to ensure efficient service. They may assist in delivering food and beverages to tables, refilling water glasses, and addressing any immediate guest requests.
4. Clearing and cleaning dishes: Bussers collect used dishes, glassware, and cutlery from tables and transport them to the kitchen for cleaning and sanitization. They may also assist in washing dishes, if required.
5. Cleaning and restocking: Bussers maintain the cleanliness of the dining area by sweeping or vacuuming floors, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring adequate supplies of items such as straws, coasters, and menus.
6. Collaborating with the kitchen: Bussers communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service, including relaying special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
