Key Responsibilities:
- Activity Planning: Develop and organize recreational and therapeutic activities that cater to the interests and abilities of our residents.
- Activity Facilitation: Lead and assist residents in various activities, including games, arts and crafts, music sessions, exercise classes, and social events.
- Resident Engagement: Encourage resident participation and provide support to ensure they are actively involved and enjoying the activities.
- Program Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of recreational programs and gather feedback from residents and staff to make improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare team members to integrate recreational activities into residents' overall care plans.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a recreational or activity-related role, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to plan and execute engaging activities that meet the diverse needs and interests of residents.
- Creative and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in recreation or therapeutic activities is a plus.
