Job Description:
Are you interested in joining a fun and amazing team of physicians and staff? We are looking for a full-time Medical Assistant for a well-established surgical practice and Med Spa in St. Petersburg, FL. We are a busy surgical and medical weight loss practice now offering aesthetic medical treatments and we are in need of a reliable and enthusiastic team member who has an interest in both! This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about patient care, interested in aesthetics and looking for a place they can grow and thrive.
Our Mission: To provide the highest quality patient experience and the best clinical outcomes through compassionate care using the most advanced minimally invasive surgery techniques. The needs of each patient serve as our driving force for institutional management.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Rooming patients.
Taking vital signs.
Triage clinic phone calls and patient requests.
Complete FMLA / Disability paperwork.
Prepping charts including requesting medical records, testing, scans, etc.
Assisting with in-office procedures.
Organize, stock, and clean exam rooms.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- BLS Certified (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant
Experience:
- 1-3 years of Medical Assisting (Preferred)
- Allscripts experience a plus
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in customer service
- Able to handle high call volume with providing thoughtful communication
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to be a team player with a positive attitude to ensure patient care
- EMR experience
- Support physicians and staff to ensure a positive experience for patients and referring physicians.
- Integrity, honesty, & empathy
- Professional appearance reflecting the organization's commitment to excellence
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities with ease.
