This position receives and investigates complaints from the public relating to the insurance industry and investigates potential violations of civil laws enforced by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. In addition, this position seeks resolutions of insurance related disputes and works to educate the public about insurance related matters.
Minimum Qualifications
Commerce Analyst 1: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Journalism, or a related field AND 1 year of professional experience working for an insurance company or agency.
OR: 2 years of professional experience, working for an insurance company or agency.
OR: An equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Commerce Analyst 2: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Journalism, or a related field AND 2 years of professional experience working for an insurance company or agency.
OR: Advanced Degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Journalism, or a related field AND 1 year of professional experience working for an insurance company or agency.
OR: An equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop, computer, and portable printer.
