Job Overview:
Performs variety of medical office receptionist and administrative tasks, which require knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
General Accountabilities:
- Greets and checks in patients as appropriate, including obtaining accurate patient demographic information, patient registration, and checking insurance eligibility.
- Provides excellent patient experience from time of check-in to check-out.
- Secures and post payments for patient visit, including copay, retail products, and cash pay services.
- Answers telephone in timely manner.
- Create claims for self-pay services and products.
- Schedules patient follow up appointments.
- Answers general questions.
- Maintains an warm, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.
- Accurately takes and delivers messages.
- Accepts and signs for packages.
- Performs a variety of routine administrative duties
- Maintains that medical documents are scanned and uploaded to patient’s charts as appropriate.
- Reconciles payments at the end of day, performs other closing duties, as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
