What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Program Leader position at Minnetonka Schools Community Education?
Minnetonka Community Education is excited to welcome enthusiastic individuals to join our team! We have openings for the 2024 - 2025 school year in our Explorers after-school program for Child Care Program Leaders. Program Leaders will guide and supervise children in grades K-5, assist in planning and implementing activities, manage classrooms, and ensure participant safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in carrying out activities, supervising, and providing guidance for participants
- Participate in planning and preparing activities
- Perform record-keeping related to monitoring children and activities
- Establish positive and friendly relationships with parents
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
Pay & Schedule:
- Afternoon shifts: 1:30 or 2:00 PM - 5:00 or 6:00 PM
- Starting at $20.10/hour

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with three months of related experience or an unrelated field with six post-secondary credits (three in child and youth development, three in after-school programming) and three months of related experience
- Associate's Degree (AA) or two years of college in a related field or equivalent certificate with six months of related experience or an unrelated field or 2080 hours of OST work experience with six post-secondary credits (three in child and youth development, three in after-school programming) and one year of related experience
- Evidence of successful experience working with children in a child care setting
