Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at North Lake Care Center in Lake Park, Florida. As a Per Diem COTA at our facility, you will play a vital role in helping our residents regain their independence and achieve their maximum potential. Responsibilities:

• Assist Occupational Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents
• Conduct Occupational Therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and adaptions to help residents regain mobility, strength, and function
• Monitor and record resident progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the occupational therapist
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
  
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida
• Ability to lift, transfer, and position residents with care and safety
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  
  
  

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in a skilled nursing facility with frequent interruptions and distractions
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to tolerate exposure to airborne and blood-borne pathogens
