Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents
- Conduct Occupational Therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and adaptions to help residents regain mobility, strength, and function
- Monitor and record resident progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the occupational therapist
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida
- Ability to lift, transfer, and position residents with care and safety
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work in a skilled nursing facility with frequent interruptions and distractions
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to airborne and blood-borne pathogens
