Terraces of Lake Worth, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated and responsible Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist with geriatric experience to join our team. Experience in SNF is a must. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing for his or her patients and exceeding expectations. As a Speech Language Pathologist you will facilitate the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for the patients who come through our facility. Responsibilities and Duties:

- Create, administer and organize individualized plans of treatment for patients
- Instruct clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement
- Educate patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings
- Communicate with the dietary department in regards to rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions
- Participate in workshops and in-service meetings with staff
- Maintain records and documentation on the patients
- MS in Speech Therapy from an accredited speech-language pathology program
- Licensed to practice in the state of Florida
- CPR certified
