JOBSUMMARY

You will be asked to maintain all aspects of a high-end estate garden. This may include mowing, weed eating, edging, trimming, planting, pool or fountain maintenance, irrigation repair, fertilization, and any other high-end garden task. You will work in both group project settings as well as receive personal training for individual assignments. This is a team environment that also allows you to have some work-alone time just to take it all in.

Essential job functions

• Mowing with both riding and self-propelled mowers
• Weed eating with line trimmers
• Use edging and clean line equipment
• Operation of both hand and backpack blowers
• Utilize backpack sprayers and fertilizer equipment
• Operation of hand tool for digging while planting and irrigation/drainage repairs
• Use of pool cleaning equipment
• Proper operation of pressure washing units
• Proper ladder and climbing techniques
• Use of trimming equipment and saws
• Use of utility carts and full sized vehicles
• Planting of large to small plants
• Will report to professional garden supervisor for training and advice
• Any other functions needed to maintain the needs of the estate (ex: Christmas light install and take down, Party set up and clean, or Package receipt and unloading)

Job Qualification

• Good self-starter with solid communication skills
• Working knowledge of small equipment and hand tools
• Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions for long periods of time
• Both standing or bending down for extended stretches
• Ability to understand both written and oral instruction
• Ability to lift some heavy materials (plants, soil, 50-pound bags)
• Be willing to build and embrace a culture or high-end product delivery
