JOBSUMMARY
You will be asked to maintain all aspects of a high-end estate garden. This may include mowing, weed eating, edging, trimming, planting, pool or fountain maintenance, irrigation repair, fertilization, and any other high-end garden task. You will work in both group project settings as well as receive personal training for individual assignments. This is a team environment that also allows you to have some work-alone time just to take it all in.
Essential job functions
- Mowing with both riding and self-propelled mowers
- Weed eating with line trimmers
- Use edging and clean line equipment
- Operation of both hand and backpack blowers
- Utilize backpack sprayers and fertilizer equipment
- Operation of hand tool for digging while planting and irrigation/drainage repairs
- Use of pool cleaning equipment
- Proper operation of pressure washing units
- Proper ladder and climbing techniques
- Use of trimming equipment and saws
- Use of utility carts and full sized vehicles
- Planting of large to small plants
- Will report to professional garden supervisor for training and advice
- Any other functions needed to maintain the needs of the estate (ex: Christmas light install and take down, Party set up and clean, or Package receipt and unloading)
Job Qualification

- Good self-starter with solid communication skills
- Working knowledge of small equipment and hand tools
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions for long periods of time
- Both standing or bending down for extended stretches
- Ability to understand both written and oral instruction
- Ability to lift some heavy materials (plants, soil, 50-pound bags)
- Be willing to build and embrace a culture or high-end product delivery
