- Position will split time, on-site, at both TaraVista located in Devens, MA and MiraVista located in Holyoke, MA

As an Infection Control and Occupational Health Nurse (RN) :
You will collaborate with the facility leadership and Director of Quality and Patient Safety, to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action planPartner with facility leaders, and local, state, and national agencies on activities related to infection preventionSupport a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infectionsConduct outbreak investigationsMaintain a system for reporting possible incidents of communicable diseases to local, state, or national agencies as requiredTogether with pharmacy leaders, oversee the antibiotic stewardship program and monitor antibiotic useAssess the need for, develop, and present IPCP in-service education for individual departments, general orientation, and annual review as needed; education includes but is not limited to : Assess the need for, develop, and implement written policies and procedures for infection controlServe as a member of the quality assessment and assurance committeeMaintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and ensure that the facility leaders are informed of appropriate issues; understand and comply with infection control, safety, and OSHA procedures and regulationsPromote overall health and wellness among employees through education, training, and preventive measures.Conduct pre-employment screeningsEvaluation and monitoring of employees with limitations or work restrictions recommending appropriate job placementAdministration of job-related vaccinationsConduct fitness for duty assessments and related testing as requiredThe Registered Nurse (RN) will have the following :
RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSN preferred.Previous experience in infection control requiredCertified Infection Control certification (CIC) preferredPrevious experience as an occupational Health Nurse and use of Electronic Medical RecordsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to use critical thinking to make decisions and solve problemsAbility to collect, interpret and report dataWhen you join the growing Vistas team as a Infection Control and Occupational Health Nurse (RN) you'll receive :
