Under moderate supervision, prepares drawings and sketches using CAD workstations and appropriate design criteria and technical manuals. Coordinates with engineers to ensure accuracy of designs. Executes directives from engineers consistent with Mirion quality requirements for updating detector engineering designs, processes, and procedures.
Essential Duties
- Details engineering drawings from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
- Support execution of Engineering Change Orders.
- Prepare drawing packages for Detector Special Engineering (DSERF) orders.
- Coordinates with engineering staff and technicians to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Will utilize either 2D or 3D CAD methods depending on level of experience.
- Support development and execution of work instructions to support engineering process and development work.
- Support the development and costing of Special Engineering Requests (DSERF’s).
- Support execution of development and sustaining projects.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design techniques.
- Proficiency with PC-based applications such as MS Office.
- Proficiency with 2-D and 3-D CAD modeling tools.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly and work well as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of germanium detector manufacturing assembly processes.
- Basic knowledge of fundamental electronics.
- 0 – 4 years
- High school diploma or equivalent with completed coursework in drafting and CAD.
