Job Summary:
A R ecreation Therapist performs services under the direction of a Rehabilitative Therapist. Specific areas of responsibility include implementing recreational activities, teaching constructive use of leisure time, promoting socialization among peers, and assisting Recreation therapists with duties as needed. The Recreation therapy assistant is also responsible for monitoring supplies, completing attendance records after each group, and maintaining a safe environment at all times. This position will primarily work with an adult psychiatric population.
Schedule : Full-time or Part-time available.
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a Psychiatric setting
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- BLS/MAB/Fire certification
