Environmental Services Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs a variety of general cleaning duties in the hospital environment. Performs all cleaning phases of patient care rooms, surgery suites, offices and other areas as needed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning – 70%
Washingwalls,ceilings,doorsanddoorframes
Cleaninglightingfixtures,windowsandblinds
Sweeping,mopping,stripping,waxing,buffingandscrubbingallfloors
Shampooing,carpetextractionandvacuumingcarpetsinthehallwaysandcleaningstairwells Cleaningpatientrooms,includingfurniture.Movebedsandfurniture.
Cleaningcabinets,refrigerators,waterfountains,microwaveovens,gurneysandequipment
Cleaningairconditionerventsandgrills
Cleansurgicalsuitesbetweencases,isolationroomsandterminalroom
Cleanrestroomsincludingfixtures,sinks,showers,tubsandtoilets

Maintenance – 20%

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Ability to take directions and carry them out efficiently and completely.
Must provide for confidentiality, privacy and safety of patients, visitors and staff always.
Must be available for all shifts, any day.
