Mission Granbury seeks a dynamic and skilled visionary to serve as Executive Director overseeing the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of our organization. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and stakeholders to advance our mission, drive growth, and ensure organizational sustainability. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and management skills, with a focus on fostering an engaging and collaborative environment.
About Us:
Established in 1998, Mission Granbury is Hood County’s largest non-profit organization with a unique service model that includes multiple interrelated human service programs. We are committed to improving the lives of individuals and families in our community through impactful programs which include the Ada Carey Shelter for Women and Children, C.A.S.A. (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an Emergency Assistance Network that provides a weekly food pantry, financial support such as utilities, rent, and medication, Senior Care, Veterans’ Assistance, and disaster relief. Mission Granbury also owns and operates a thriving resale shop that generates over 20% of our annual revenue.
Mission Granbury has a staff of 33 and over 100 volunteers and is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors.
As the Executive Director, you will be at the helm of our organization, guiding strategic initiatives and ensuring the fulfillment of our mission. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and Management: Supervise and support department directors and senior staff. Oversee staff recruitment, training, and professional development and foster a collaborative and positive organizational culture for staff and clients.
- Financial Oversight: Manage financial planning, audits, and resource allocation to ensure the financial health of the organization.
-Grant Oversight and Management: Manage multiple state and federal grants and ensure compliance with grant requirements and funding applications.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives with the Board and senior management.
- Fundraising and Development: Create and cultivate relationships with donors, community leaders, and foundations.
- Advocacy and Public Relations: Represent the organization in public forums, media engagements, and advocacy efforts.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ten or more years of proven leadership experience in the nonprofit sector or a related field, supervising mid-level management teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and build collaborative partnerships.
-Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal grant administration, grant budget management and nonprofit budget guidelines and principles
- Passion for the mission and vision of the organization.
- Experience with family violence programs preferred.
