Job Summary and Qualifications:
Supports department by consulting with the referring physician, medical director, program director, exercise specialist(s), registered nurse, and program participant in developing an appropriate rehabilitation and education program for the patient. Also, by developing and evaluating exercise prescriptions, evaluating patients responses to the therapeutic lifestyle changes recommended, and demonstrating leadership for the discipline of exercise science.
What qualifications you will need:
Bachelors degree in Exercise Science or other appropriate health major with ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional Certification; and/or Masters degree in clinical exercise science with ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional Certification.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Masters degree in Exercise Science with ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional CertificationR
EQUIRED LICENSE: ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional Certification for Bachelors Degree; BLS certification
PREFERRED LICENSE: ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional Certification for Masters Degree; BLS certification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 300 hours or more of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation program
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2000 hours of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation program

Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have a minimum of a BS in Exercise Science with a Certification from ASCM as a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
