Electrical Engineer

OVERVIEW:

Mission Microwave Technologies was founded in early 2014 to provide state-of-the-art solid-state transmit infrastructure to the satellite communication industry. Our customers provide satellite links to a host of spaces, both commercial and military. By the end of 2020, Mission Microwave’s product profile grew to many unique product offerings!

We are presently looking for an Electrical Engineer to perform detailed development work in electronics, RF circuits, and amplifiers. Apply knowledge and principles of microwave circuit, RF system engineering. This role requires strong RF technical knowledge.

Electrical Engineers responsibility include but are not limited to:

• Design and test circuit boards and RF modules.
• Test and validate block up converters and down converters
• Provide test and troubleshooting support of production hardware
• Develop detailed RF designs for receivers and transmitters
• Must be on worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Multi-disciplinary skills in electronic design and RF design.
• Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot electronic and RF circuits and RF systems.
• Strong knowledge and hands on use of electronic and RF test equipment
• Good understanding of PCB design, layout and fabrication process
• Good understanding of circuit board assembly
• Good understanding of EMI and methods to minimize its effects
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as CE, Mil-Std, DO-160, etc.
• Ability to create schematic and board layout is highly desirable.
• Ability to program embedded processors is highly desirable
• Ability to use software to create application and GUI is highly desirable
• Ability to create test documents and procedures
• Ability to model and analyze circuits using SPICE
• Ability to adhere to workplace rules
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work with a multi-functional team in a fast paced environment

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in EE, Math, Physics or related technical field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Experience with RF design, test, and integration
• Experience with Altium Designer is a plus
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
