As Senior Tax Manager, you will work directly with clients and advisory teams to prepare and review tax returns. You will also evaluate and communicate tax strategies for the client’s goals and values. Day-to-Day as Senior Tax Manager:
- Work with a high-performing & growth-oriented team
- Speak your mind, have your voice heard, innovate, and streamline existing processes
- Grow yourself personally and professionally with the support of your team
- Prepare complex tax returns with a focus on individual and trust returns.
- Review tax returns prepared by others.
- Work closely with Wealth Managers and the client base regarding tax/wealth strategies
- Responsible for client relationships and retention; inspiring client confidence through demonstrated expertise; and helping ensure we are meeting deadlines and addressing client questions and needs on an ongoing basis
- Work with peers and leaders to create and present strategic tax planning solutions to high-net-worth clients
- Assist clients with tax-related questions, proformas, estimates, and projections
- Manage consulting and tax projects
- Review tax returns
- Commitment to continuing education, team development, training, and mentoring new tax associates
What You Bring as Senior Tax Manager:
- 8 years of proven tax accounting experience; previous experience preparing tax returns preferred
- CPA required
- Desire to increase knowledge of financial planning concepts by obtaining CFP designation.
- Experience providing client-centric tax consulting to high-net-worth clients
- Strong research capabilities related to technical matters for complex tax needs and updates to regulations
- Mastery of various tax compliance software products
- Highly effective interpersonal, relationship management, and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a high-energy culture to manage priorities
- Demonstrated talent development experience, training new staff and mentoring interns
- Strong attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time, Salaried exempt
Location: This position is based out of one of our offices located in Scottsdale, Austin, Lisle, or Houston. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in the office.
Salary: $150,000 base salary, plus annual bonus paid in quarterly increments
