General Statement of Job
This is a part-time federally funded grant position. The administrative assistant will provide administrative support as well as office management and clerical functions for the office. These tasks will require a background in database management and administration.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
Gather data and prepare statistical reports and process staff documents.
Maintains student files with the highest regard for organization and confidentiality.
Creates monthly budget reports by reconciling receipts and purchase orders.
Monitoring and maintaining records and ledger of the UB account.
Manage database and performance reports.
Maintain office supply inventory.
Audit service/attendance logs.
Assist the Director in compiling information for reports and audits.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education, Experience, and Licenses
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of experience or formal training in secretarial or office management.
Experience working in an educational or counseling-related setting is preferred.
Experience in accounting/office management.
Preference will be given to candidates who have overcome the barriers faced by the students in Upward Bound (i.e. socioeconomic disadvantage, lack of educational opportunity).
