The Afternoon Teaching Assistant provides care for infant, toddler or preschool children in a childcare and preschool center environment.
- Be a role model
- Assure that children receive proper feeding, playtime, learning activities, naps, bathroom breaks and diaper changing
- Assure child safety by understanding and following safety and security procedures.
- Observe children and communicate appropriately with Teachers and parents
- Attend and be an active participant at staff meetings
Part Time, Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm-6:00 pm
Qualifications
We are seeking individuals who embody the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Prior experience working in an early childhood or educational setting is a plus. CPR & First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training will be completed within 90 days of hire and are provided by the YMCA. This job is open to candidates ages 14 and older.
