PATIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, URGENT CARE (PSR), MIT Health, is responsible for patient flow and appointment scheduling; front desk tasks, including check-in, collecting copays, and obtaining accurate insurance eligibility information; administrative tasks, including phone calls, data entry, insurance reviews, filing, and scheduling appointments and procedures to coordinate within and across providers, service areas, and healthcare facilities; patient contact, both in person and by telephone; interacting with internal and external stakeholders by effectively communicating with referral providers and practices to facilitate management of complex patient issues; and providing positive and effective customer service that supports departmental operations.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of two years of relevant experience (e.g. customer service or administrative); ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and to communicate with patients, clinicians, and other professional staff in a pleasant, calming, and diplomatic manner; solid organizational skills and the ability to follow through and complete tasks; math proficiency - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with accuracy; and ability to work independently or within a team environment and to work with diverse internal and external constituencies. This position works 12-hour shifts and weekends.
Salary Range: $22.50-$24.00/hour, final salary determined by MIT’s compensation team based on the skills and experience of the person hired.
