MEPPI's Corporate IT Department is looking for an Infrastructure Administrator to design, configure, test, implement, maintain and troubleshoot virtualization, enterprise server, and enterprise storage solutions.
Essential Functions
- Design and implement strategic plans for virtual environments, enterprise storage and enterprise servers.
- Ensure performance and availability of enterprise servers and the virtual infrastructure.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and system problems.
- Create and maintain processes and scripts required to support a virtual enterprise environment.
- Administer the MEPPI enterprise servers, storage, and virtual environments including installation, maintenance, security, troubleshooting, and tuning of environments and services.
- Design, document, implement and support disaster recovery plans and business continuity solutions.
- Work closely with the network operations team to streamline system design and architecture to ensure stable and optimal operation.
- Support and maintain distributed systems for all MEPPI locations.
- Determine feasibility, compatibility with existing systems, and capabilities of current systems to meet the expectations of end-users.
- Resolve system incident requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field with a minimum 5 years’ experience as a virtualization administrator
- in an enterprise environment, or equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge of virtualization software (VCenter 5.5 and newer, ESXi, SRM) administration, configuration, disaster
- recovery
- Knowledge of server (CISCO UCS) administration and configuration
- Advanced virtualization and troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills required to communicate with employees and vendors.
- Ability to analyze processes and develop solutions to enhance operations.
- Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office.
