Exercise Tech The Exercise Technician is responsible for providing high quality member care, displaying knowledgeable skills in equipment usage, updating member charts on regular basis, and providing excellent communication skills with members. Exercise tech should be knowledgeable in regards to Wellness Center rates and policies. Additionally, he/she is responsible for functioning well as a member of the multidisciplinary team.Required Skills/Abilities:
•Basic knowledge of how to operate exercise equipment, both strength and cardiovascular.
•Interpersonal skills- including customer relations, grammar, reading, and organizational skills.
•Current CPR certification is required.
•Must have basic computer skills/knowledge.
•Able to make decisions under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and manage stress, anger, potential violence of others appropriately.
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Education and Experience:
Education and Experience:
•High school graduate or equivalent; Co-op high school student is possible.
•Experience in a Wellness or Fitness facility is preferred, but not required.
