WAGE RANGE- $24.95-$26.95

Summary: As a Line Lead the main duties are to lead the operation of the bottling line equipment. Primarily assist with leading the personnel on the lines to ensure highest degree of safety, quality and line efficiencies. Perform troubleshooting duties on all equipment when needed.

- Business Knowledge/Intelligence. Demonstrates thorough understanding of the roles, relationships and systems among the operations, maintenance and Quality groups and possess the desire to improve processes to the advantage of our customers and organization. Knowledgeable about how our organization functions and knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal networks.
- Report to work 30 minutes before the start of your scheduled shift and be prepared to stay until all associated shift work has been completed and delivered.
- Verify the setup of assigned line (both lines if necessary) and ensure that the product has been approved for production by the start of the shift.
- Verify along with the filler operator that all product valves and pumps are set correctly on the assigned line (both lines if necessary) to dispense the correct vinegar or cooking wines to the bottling tank designated for the scheduled production.
- Verify that the production schedule matches what is being run. Verify if any last minute changes have been made by scheduling or the production manager.
- Work directly with the Production Supervisor to complete daily filling schedules. Any deviations from the daily production schedule needs to be addressed with the supervisor/production manager to ensure proper handling of the production deviation.
- Complete all associated documentation at line startup and periodically during the shift check all documentation for clarity, accuracy and compliance. Complete at the direction of the supervisor all downtime, shift summary paperwork and submit at the end of each shift.
- Verify that all bottling equipment is properly shutdown on both lines at the end of that day’s production.
- Must understand and promote Mizkan’s 16 loss and OEE initiatives.
- Work diligently to ensure that product holds are minimized. Also the Line Lead is responsible to ensure that any hold product is quickly addressed and corrected.
- Must understand 5S and participate in Lyndonville’s monthly Kaizen events.
- Must be able to work other shifts as needed and assign team members when needed to support shortages on other shifts. If coverage for your team is needed ensure adequate notification to team supervisors.
- At the request of your supervisor assist with writing team performance reviews by providing input on performance related.
- Assist with the training and development of new employees by completing the Skills Development training matrix; this includes LOTO training initial and annual.
- Be prepared to fill in in the absence of production employee’s line 1 or 2.
- Must be able to attend training seminars to enhance leadership knowledge.
- Attend monthly management staff meetings or when scheduled.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum High School diploma required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the production environment.
- Ability to operate each piece of production equipment
- Ability to set up each piece of equipment
- Ability to trouble shoot each piece of equipment and determines expeditiously whether or not maintenance is required to resolve the equipment issues.
- Ability to work well with all personnel and departments
- Must have a good attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills which include the use of Word, excel and outlook.
