Wesa Automation, a division of MKD Electric, provides state of the art and integrated automation and control solutions for industrial and manufacturing applications.
Responsibilities:
- Read electrical and control schematics and assemble and wire panels to specification for PLC controls, operator consoles, variable speed drives, motor controls, and/or pneumatic controls.
- Inspect and test completed panels.
- Maintain equipment and tools in a neat, clean, and efficient work area.
- Work with shop manager to schedule and prioritize tasks.
- Occasionally support installations at local customer facilities.
- Lead and train other panel builders.
Requirements:
- Availability during core hours of shop operation, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (some flexibility available).
- Minimum 10 years of panel building experience, preferably within the automation industry.
- Formal electrical training or demonstrated on-the-job experience in the electrical field.
- Familiarity with NEC, UL, and/or CSA codes preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Knowledge of proper and safe use of hand tools and small power tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Teamwork and dependability.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be safety conscious.
