MKD has been providing retail services and wholesale distribution of kitchen and bath products across the Midwest for 75 years. Additionally, we are one of Michigan’s largest countertop fabricators – offering a wide selection of granite, quartz, solid surface, and laminate products. Our ability to offer all of our services in-house, from fabrication to installation sets us apart from the competition. We are currently seeking a CNC Operator to join our team on second shift. Our success lies in the people we hire. Requirements
- Responsible for the safe operation of the CNC Machine
- Set-up materials and program the computer for operation
- Inspect Machinery and product for quality assurance
- Perform daily maintenance on the machinery
- Ability to analyze information provided on blueprints and drawings to make sure the final product matches the drafts
- Must be able to physically move and lift substantial parts ranging from 50 to 80 pounds
- Problem solving skills to detect issues and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates the product provided in the draft
- Follow safety standards and procedures
- Maintain an efficient, clean, and organized work area
Qualifications
- Self-Directed worker capable of staying on task with minimal supervision
- Great attention to detail
- Strong math skills for inputting specific dimensions and figures into the CNC
- Ability to learn multiple computer programs and proficient typing skills
- High School Diploma / GED Required
- Communication and Teamwork skills
- Commit to work on time and retain communication with supervisor and manager daily
