Position Title: Head Gymnastics Coach
Department: West High School Athletics Department
Reports to: West High School Director of Athletics and Operations

Purpose of Position: The Head Gymnastics Coach will help in supervising and instructing the high school gymnastics team of assignment, which is important to the student-athletes’ success in reaching their full potential in the classroom and on the field.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise the Gymnastics program coaching staff including Assistant/JV/Freshman coaches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee training of gymnasts in conjunction with the other coaches.
Develop training plans for gymnasts in conjunction with the other coaches.
overseeing the running of specific events as needed at home games.
Contribute to game line-up planning with other coaches.
Attend and coach at all practices.
Attend and coach at all meets.
Assist other coaches in monitoring team members’ practice attendance, school attendance, meet attendance and grades
enforcing team policies.
Responsible for providing kids feedback about their performance related to their disposition, behavior and team skills.
Successful completion of the required WIAA Rules exam for gymnastics by the 2023/24 winter sports season.
