Position Summary: This position is responsible for direct patient care in the field of Primary Care Provider. This position also provides a personalized care that reflects the dignity and worth of everyone, while being responsible and accountable for the care provided and upholding our standard of excellence. This position will be a key addition to our Skilled Nursing Team. We are looking for the right individual who can assist with overseeing our care teams and programs within the skilled-nursing facility setting. There is the possibility of Medical Directorship opportunities at each of the facilities.
Essential Functions:
· Provide Primary Care
· Complete progress notes within 7 days of service rendered
· Complete billing within 7 days of service rendered
· Maintain responsibilities within Medent
· On call duties
· Complies with all elements of HIPPA
· Other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
· Medical Doctor
· Certification, VT & NYS licensure
· 3-5 years of similar experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with MEDENT or a similar EMR software
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word experience
- Medical terminology
- HIPPA knowledge
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team and individual environment
· Effective communication skills – verbal and written
- Detailed oriented with a proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracy
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions:
- Physical requirements of the job vary depending on location. (patient’s home, ALF, SAR / SNF)
