What You'll Do:
- Perform quality ultrasound imaging services at various locations, including patient homes and facilities.
- Verify patient orders, demographics, and insurance information for accuracy.
- Build lasting relationships with facility staff while providing exceptional patient care.
- Ensure patient comfort, explaining procedures and addressing concerns with empathy.
- Capture comprehensive images with precision and evaluate image quality.
- Present ultrasound images and preliminary findings to healthcare teams and radiologists.
- Maintain and manage ultrasound equipment and vehicle setup, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education & Certification: Associate’s Degree in Ultrasound Technology or a related field, plus a valid ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI license.
- Modalities Required: Abdomen and Vascular
- Skills: Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and computer proficiency with the ability to work independently.
- Interpersonal Strength: Compassionate and professional with exceptional people skills to foster strong relationships.
- Driving Capability: A current, valid driver's license is required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be comfortable operating and transporting ultrasound equipment, as well as driving a company vehicle to various locations. Responsibilities include assisting patients in diverse settings and ensuring safe handling of both equipment and transportation. Travel to multiple sites to deliver mobile sonographer services is expected. The position may require working overtime, nights, weekends, or being on-call. Entry into certain facilities may involve passing through security checks, including X-ray scanners.
Potential Schedule:
This position offers a flexible schedule with two options: Monday through Friday, either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts. There may also be opportunities for alternating weekends and holidays.
