What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate position at Mobile Outfitters?
Our Production Associates are responsible for assembly, slitting, tabbing, kitting, and picking of customer orders. Members must perform quality checks, follow standard work instruction, and report productivity and quality deviations. Must be able to function in an operational team environment which is transforming into a lean culture. Actively participate in problem solving of production processes and equipment. Highly adaptable and willing to challenge the status quo.
Title: Production Team Member I
Shift: First Shift (9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday)
Compensation: $18-$19/hour
Reports To: Senior Operations Manager
Location: 3901B Main Street, Suite 106, Floor 1 Philadelphia PA 19127
Job Type: Full Time
Benefits: Holiday pay, sick days, and vacation days are available immediately. Health care eligible the 1st of the month.
Bonus: $500 signing bonus after 90 days of employment!
In plain terms, here’s what our Production Team Members do:
- Understand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner and contribute to a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority
- Conduct initial and in-process quality inspections for all production processes
- Ensure Work Orders are filled out accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and work stations are in good working order
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area in line with 5S principles
- Maintain acceptable productivity standards while following planned production schedule
- Inspect parts, products and machinery for defects
- Execute all material issues/receipts/transfers in an ERP system
- Work at different workstations as job requires
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform tasks on all equipment in assigned work space
- Perform predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities
- Must be able to work in fast-paced, constantly changing environment
If this sounds like you, your previous education, work experience, and passions probably sound like this:
- Have exposure to working under a formal operating system, i.e. Lean Manufacturing / Toyota Production System / Theory of Constraints / 6 Sigma / Entrepreneur Operating System
- Have exposure to working under a formal quality system, i.e. ISO / TS / AS / GMP, etc.
- Have exposure to working in an organization which follows 5S methodology
- Ability to measure and count accurately and demonstrate attention to detail
- Ability to comprehend written instruction
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
- Ability to multi task with changing priorities
- Ability to stand all day and repeatedly lift up to 40lbs
