Summary
Supports the HR team in sourcing and finding talent for open positions. The HR Specialist will communicate with hiring managers to discuss talent needs and necessary requirements, as well as communicate with candidates and new hires to ensure a smooth hiring transition. The Specialist will also stay on top of employment trends and bring fresh, new ideas for recruitment efforts.
Responsibilities-
- Under direct supervision of HR Manager, is responsible for all recruitment, sourcing partners, and staffing policies and procedures to ensure effective utilization of recruitment budget and meet time-to-fill objectives.
- Collaborates with HR Planning & Compensation to ensure MOBIS retains competitive wages to attract qualified candidates.
- Confers with hiring managers to confirm open headcount and conduct staffing intake meeting to determine recruitment strategy for each position.
- Prepares and posts job announcements with internal and external sources and participates in job fairs to promote employment opportunities with MOBIS Georgia.
- Reviews applications, prescreens candidates, coordinates and participates in interviews, arranges travel and accommodations for candidates, conducts reference checks, collects interview summaries, obtains approvals for offers, extends and negotiates acceptances, and coordinates start dates for new employees.
- Coordinates, reviews, and maintains records related to processing of post-offer, pre-employment background check(s) and education validation.
- Assists in New Hire Orientation.
- Develops and maintains contacts with various schools, alumni groups and other public organizations to promote career opportunities with MOBIS Georgia.
- Manages applicants in Applicant Tracking System.
- Provides weekly candidate reporting to include applicants contacted and results.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
2-5 years of relevant experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Preferred Competencies:
AA/AS or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
Experience in recruiting or HR in manufacturing setting preferred.
