Moda Health is seeking a Account Manager.  This position will be responsible for the on-going service and retention of medical and dental accounts assigned.  Primary focus is 1-50 group market.  This includes personal service calls to agents and accounts, responding to both written and verbal inquiries from agents and/or accounts, and includes attending requested meetings by the agents or groups. Objective is to support the financial and membership growth of Moda and its affiliates.

Primary Functions:

  1. Provide existing accounts with frequent service to assure their retention and to protect them from competition.
  2. Accountable as the principle contact for dealing with escalated questions or problems related to membership accounting, underwriting, and/or claims in cases where the account is not satisfied with the resolution of a problem within Moda Health and its affiliates.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal partners to manager customer service experience.
  4. Establish and maintain strong and appropriate relationships with group administrators and brokers to maintain persistency. 
  5. Perform field audits to assess the degree of account compliance with our established underwriting regulations to ensure that these requirements are being followed. 
  6. Manage assigned medical and dental accounts, responsible for ensuring administrative staff executes tasks as requested, within timeframes, including internal communication and paperwork.
  7. Represent Moda Health at benefit and wellness fairs and conduct open enrollment presentations of the employee benefit package upon request.
  8. Trains and consults with brokers and employers on enrollment, benefits, and electronic service processes.
  9. Influences, demonstrates, and trains employer groups about Moda Health’s online electronic services, tools and technologies.
  10. Establish and build a knowledge base relative to trends and development in the medical and dental insurance field, new or revised benefit designs, and related service offerings. 
  11. Accountable for performing delinquent account functions and follow up.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned by management team.
