What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marina Dock Hand position at Modern Boat Rental?
Position Title: Marina Dock Hand
Position Summary:
- Responsible for the checkout and checkin process of watercrafts once they are already in the water. Courteously and professionally greets customers and provides instruction regarding safe operation of various watercrafts. Provides outstanding customer service in all interactions.
Essential Functions:
1. Greets customers in a prompt and courteous manner. Instructs customers on all operational features of each watercraft including all safety features.
2. Adheres to the vQuip application for checkout and checkin procedure.
3. Follows all safety and mechanical protocols including but not limited to checking the oil, ensuring the lower unit is raised, and turning the battery switch to the on/off position.
4. Performs general mechanical maintenance on all watercrafts.
5. Ensures each watercraft meets our cleanliness standards.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
● Active Drivers License
● Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
● Knowledge of general operation of various watercrafts
● Basic computer and smartphone skills
● Possess strong customer services skills
● General mechanical knowledge
● Washington State Boaters License
Desired:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One-year work experience in watercraft rentals
- In-depth mechanical knowledge with ability to perform general maintenance
- Experience hauling trailers and launching watercrafts

Pay: $16.28 - $20.00 per hour
