Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pre-Authorization Specialist to join our multi- specialty cardiology team at our Humble location. Applicants must be able to prioritize, organize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Position Key Accountabilities
Obtain authorizations for high tech radiology services, CT/CTA scans and PET scans, through direct communication with insurance payers via phone or online portals.
· Maintain regular follow-up on pending authorization cases to ensure timely resolution.
· Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of insurance benefits, referrals, and inform patients about estimated costs before tests or procedures.
· Prioritize and organize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and ensuring accurate documentation.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and insurance companies to resolve authorization-related issues promptly.
Experience
Prior experience obtaining authorizations for cardiology services, diagnostic center and/or hospital outpatient is a must.
