Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Record and update patient medical histories and vital signs
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms for patient visits
- Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, medications, and treatment plans
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care
- Assist with medical office administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and insurance verification
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy standards
Qualifications:
- Must have Completion of a Medical Assistant externship training program.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant will be plus but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, and basic healthcare protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work hard, effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- CPR certification is a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
