We are seeking a passionate and experienced Piano Teacher to join our vibrant music education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano instruction, curriculum development, and classroom management, with the ability to inspire students of all ages. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive piano curricula tailored to individual student needs and skill levels
- Deliver engaging and effective piano lessons to students of various ages, including children, teenagers, and adults
- Manage classroom environments to ensure a safe, respectful, and motivating atmosphere
- Utilize effective teaching techniques such as tutoring, lesson planning, and behavior management strategies
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Incorporate additional skills such as photography, ballet, theater, or culinary arts into creative lesson activities when appropriate
- Support students' overall development by integrating childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Maintain organized records of student attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans
- Ability to conduct group lessons under Harmony Road curriculum (training provided)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in piano teaching with a strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Bachelors degree in Music Education/ Piano Performance
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom environments effectively across different age groups
- Experience working with children, including preschool or early childhood education settings; familiarity with special education or behavior management is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students of varying skill levels and backgrounds
- Active membership with MTAC is a strong plus

Pay: $32.50 - $42.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
