Job Title: Quality Control Manager
Position Description: Reporting to the President of TDC Trailer, the Quality Control Manager position will facilitate all aspects of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This position will implement and facilitating inspections and auditing activities to validate that the products produced and raw materials received meet all customer specifications, along with ensuring ISO and GMP practices are upheld to the highest of quality standards. Additionally, the Quality Control Manager will work closely with Internal departments, customers and OEM’s to develop and validate critical to quality test methods, initiate internal and customer complaint failure investigations, and maintaining process control through ISO procedures.
Essential job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Manage the overall direction for the creation and update of product and process-related data/documentation in accordance with internal procedures, and ISO requirements.
  • Manage the day-to-day change control process and provides direction for the creation and update of product and process-related data in accordance with internal procedures; ensure compliance with the regulations and ISO requirements.
  • Perform and report the results of incoming inspections, product In-process and Final inspections.
  • Perform infrastructure and QMS Audits
  • Proactively manage the organization to plan for and facilitate audits with internal and external auditors and minimize issues/findings.
  • Continuously improves current business and system processes by creating, redefining, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure maximum efficiency in business and system processes; seek input on improved strategies and processes to help achieve goals; implement new processes and system practices to achieve the goal of reducing time to market for new products.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with internal customers; benchmark across plants to identify and support strategic new systems, leverage resources, and expertise to develop and implement Best Demonstrated Practices.
  • Interact with manufacturing to assure system compliance and synchronization of data and documentation.
  • Develop and monitor various departmental metrics to improve departmental efficiency.
  • Assist with and monitor the employee training program.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills:
  • Work effectively with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Perform light duty work.
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Perform Inspections and Test following ISO and Regulatory guidelines.
  • Be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in ISO 9001
  • Efficient in problem solving and failure investigations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years relevant experience.
  • Up to 25% travel.
Remote Work: This role will be primarily office based. If the need arises to work remote, including nights and weekends, employees are expected to work in a secure location to protect company data and have stable high-speed internet.
Additional requirements:
This is a full-time position. Employees are expected to work a general schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Employees may be required to work beyond the standard schedule to meet the deliverables and expectations of the role. Employees working from home, like those in an office, should use their time wisely and constructively plan their day since there is limited daily oversight.
