Travel: Occasional, up to 10%
The Electrical Designer will work closely with Controls Engineers and Panel Technicians to develop conceptual and detailed electrical design packages to meet customer requirements.
- Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, interconnect diagrams, network schematics, I/O lists, bill of materials and material quotes based on NEC and UL standards
- Perform component selection and design calculations
- Create standard templates and blocks to improve drawing productivity and accuracy
- Participate in training and development opportunities
- Assist with control system estimating
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Associate Electrical/Drafting degree or equivalent work experience
- EPlan, AutoCAD, or similar software experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience designing electrical control systems
- Knowledge of NEC, UL, OSHA & NFPA standards
- Familiar with Rockwell Allen-Bradley products
