What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform and lead setup operations on Swiss Lathe CNC machines for B Shift production.
- Troubleshoot setup issues, resolving mechanical or process challenges quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and other shift leads to maintain workflow and quality.
- Ensure all setups meet safety, quality, and production standards before releasing into operation.
- Prepare tools, programs, and workholding in advance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Manage and organize setup tooling, materials, and supplies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline setup processes and enhance production reliability.
- Operate machines during production runs when not actively performing setups.
- 3 years of CNC machining experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Swiss Lathe CNC machines (Citizen experience preferred).
- Excellent troubleshooting, mechanical problem solving, and setup optimization skills.
- Solid communication and teamwork abilities — strong shift-to-shift coordination is essential.
- Understanding of manufacturing safety standards and operational best practices.
- High school diploma; technical training or an associate degree preferred.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
- Prior experience in a similar CNC setup technician role.
